Data Architect

The Data Architect is responsible for designing and governing the entire data ecosystem of the War Data Platform. This person will establish the enterprise data model, define standards for data storage (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, databases), and design the architecture for data ingestion, processing pipelines (ETL/ELT), and data access. They will work closely with the GRC and security teams to ensure data governance, data quality, and data protection policies are designed into the architecture from the start.

The Data Architect's primary goal is to ensure that data on the WDP is findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR), enabling advanced analytics and AI/ML at scale.

Requirements

• SECRET Security Clearance Required
• Cloud+,GSEC,Security+, or SSCP cerification (for Junior / Journeyman roles)
• SecurityX/CASP+,CCNP Security,CISA,CCSP, or CISSP certification (for Senior role)
• We are actively seeking multiple levels:
• Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
• Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
• Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
• Good communication skills, self-starter mindset.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.

• Salary at Avalore is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combinaition of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
• Salary estimates for this job range from $107,000 - $220,000.
