About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Graphic Designer with packaging design experience to support new product launches, brand refreshes, and range reviews. If you have a strong eye for detail, experience working with packaging specifications, and enjoy managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you
- Design new packaging artwork and update existing packaging to reflect product, brand, or range changes.
- Create, update, and adapt artwork using box die lines, templates, and supplier-provided specifications.
- Design and update label artwork for a range of product formats, ensuring accuracy for print and production.
- Prepare accurate, print-ready packaging files for offset, digital, and specialty printing processes.
- Maintain version control and an organised packaging artwork database or file library.
- Complete image manipulation and retouching for packaging and supporting marketing use.
- Maintain and organise the image library.
- Apply existing brand style guidelines consistently across packaging, brand refresh projects, and supporting design work.
- Flag inconsistencies or gaps in brand guidelines across a high volume of SKUs.
- Support the creation of point-of-sale materials and trade show displays in line with brand guidelines.
- Prepare sales and marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, catalogues, and advertisements.
- Provide minor web and digital asset support as required.
- Manage a high volume of concurrent design projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Perform other position-level duties as required.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of graphic design experience, with demonstrated packaging design work.
- Strong experience in packaging artwork, particularly box die lines and label artwork.
- Highly competent in Adobe Creative Suite, with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign being essential.
- Portfolio required, including examples of packaging artwork, ideally featuring box die lines and/or label design.
- Working knowledge of the design process from briefing and artwork updates through to print-ready file handoff.
- Comfortable working with supplier die lines, templates, and specifications and adapting them for new SKUs or product variants.
- Understanding of prepress and print production requirements, including bleed, CMYK, spot colours, and related print specifications.
- Experience managing packaging artwork across multiple SKUs or variants simultaneously is highly regarded.
- Experience working with Australian or international FMCG, consumer goods, or product-based brands is highly regarded.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly where packaging errors may impact print production or require costly reproductions.
