Role Overview

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Security Engineering to lead the design and development of internal platforms, tools, and automation that help protect sensitive data across the organization.

This role is ideal for a software engineer who enjoys building scalable backend systems, working with large-scale data platforms, and partnering with security, privacy, compliance, and engineering teams. You will help improve how the company discovers, reviews, governs, and reduces sensitive data exposure through well-designed software systems and automation.

What You Will Do

Design and build internal platforms and tools to support sensitive data discovery, review workflows, access governance, risk tracking, and remediation.

Develop backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and automation workflows that help teams identify, analyze, and reduce sensitive data exposure.

Integrate with large-scale data systems such as object storage, databases, data warehouses, streaming platforms, metadata systems, and production services.

Work closely with security, data platform, and product engineering teams to translate business and risk requirements into practical engineering solutions.

Partner with data owners and platform teams to improve how sensitive data is stored, accessed, transformed, shared, and monitored.

Basic Qualifications

Software engineering experience, especially in backend, platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems development.

Good programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Java, Go, Scala, or similar languages.

Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS services, IAM concepts, permissions, logging, and access patterns.
