Job Description:

We are seeking a Principal Java Cloud Software Engineer to develop and enhance scalable software applications supporting complex, data-intensive mission environments. In this role, you will design and build Java-based applications and services, integrate distributed data and messaging technologies, and contribute across the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong Java and Spring Boot development experience with familiarity in MongoDB, Kafka, containerized environments, and AWS services.

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
  • A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science or a related field and twelve (12) years of relevant experience. Also acceptable is no degree and sixteen (16) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong software development experience using Java.
  • Hands-on experience developing applications and microservices using Spring Boot.
  • Experience working with MongoDB or comparable database technologies.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-based application environments.
  • Experience with Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) or similar container registry technologies.
  • Experience deploying or supporting applications using Rancher Kubernetes Engine (RKE).
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and distributed application architectures.
