Senior Software Engineer (Cloud API)

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience to help build and evolve our data and AI security product. You’ll work on scalable backend systems that protect enterprise data across cloud environments, SaaS applications, and AI agents. As an early contributor, you’ll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions and solve complex engineering challenges at scale.

What you’ll do

• Design and build highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant backend systems to protect enterprise data across public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure), SaaS applications, and AI agents.
• Develop security capabilities that provide visibility and control over how AI agents access, process, and share sensitive enterprise data.
• Build and optimize distributed services that process large volumes of data with high performance and reliability.
• Work with a modern microservices-based stack including Go, Kubernetes, Bigtable, BigQuery, Spanner, Redis, and Docker.
• Write secure, production-ready code and troubleshoot complex performance and scalability challenges.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to contribute to technical design and architecture decisions.

Who you are

• You have 5+ years of software engineering experience building scalable backend systems and distributed applications.
• You have experience developing cloud-native or SaaS applications, preferably in security or data protection.
• You have experience with AI agents, agentic applications, or AI security, including familiarity with agent frameworks, tool calling, or MCP.
• You have experience integrating and ingesting large-scale data from third-party SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS APIs.
• You have strong programming skills in Go, Python, Java, or Rust, with Go preferred.
• You have hands-on experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms.
• You are familiar with distributed databases such as Bigtable, BigQuery, Spanner, Redis, or graph databases.
• You have strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently own and deliver technical solutions.
• You communicate effectively and collaborate well with distributed teams.
