IT Operations Team Lead (Fulfillment Centres)

The role

For our growing North America IT function, we are looking for a Team Lead, IT Operations to own the technology experience across all US fulfillment centres. Spanning locations from Phoenix to Newark, this is the most operationally embedded senior IT leadership role in the North America portfolio; directly accountable for the infrastructure, endpoints, and field technology that keep HelloFresh's US fulfillment network running.

You will translate global IT strategy into consistent, high-performance execution at every US site; driving standardization, being a business partner for key initiatives, and ensuring the endpoint and device estate that underpins daily fulfillment operations is resilient and well-managed. As the lead you will operate as the trusted senior IT interface for USA Operations leadership, be an active contributor to Global IT strategy, and a HelloFresh DNA ambassador across the Field IT team.

What you’ll do

• Own the Fulfillment Centre IT portfolio roadmap, setting direction across service delivery, tooling, and team capability across all US Fulfillment Centres. Make trade-off decisions quickly, communicate them clearly to operations leadership, and reduce ambiguity for your team.
• Be present in the field. Regular travel across US sites is expected. You assess what is happening on the ground, make decisions in the room, and hold the standard. When a site is struggling, you go there.
• Lead the Fulfillment Centre IT team dispersed across US locations, balancing performance management with the freedom to operate. Coach engineers into IT leaders. Recognize contributions and manage conflicts before they become problems.
• Act as the senior IT interface for USA Operations leadership, building trusted relationships with site directors and operations VPs. Communicate proactively, push back when an ask is unreasonable, and deliver credible timelines. Operations culture in Fulfillment Centres is demanding and fast-paced, and you are practiced enough in that environment to hold your position without it becoming adversarial.
• Lead major cross-functional projects and initiatives: You’ll be a key partner for standardization across all Fulfillment Centres. Including coordinating IT coverage and readiness during changeover windows, and technology refreshes, and rollouts in collaboration with the production technology and network infrastructure teams.
• Own the full endpoint and device estate for field operations: MDM (Jamf/Intune), Zscaler deployment, and endpoint compliance across all locations. Use Jira Service Management data to hold the team accountable for SLA performance.

What you’ll bring

• Fulfillment Centre IT Operations Leadership: Proven senior IT leadership in a Fulfillment Centre, logistics, manufacturing, or high-density multi-site environment, with direct accountability for distributed team performance and site-level infrastructure delivery.
• Willingness and Ability to Travel: This role requires regular travel across US Fulfillment Centre locations. You are comfortable spending significant time on-site and prefer direct operational presence to remote coordination.
• Operational Stakeholder Management: Track record of managing operations leadership, including site directors and VPs, with the confidence to push back on unreasonable asks and the credibility to hold that position. You protect the IT function without becoming an obstacle to the business.
• Infrastructure and Endpoint Depth: Hands-on experience with MDM (Jamf for macOS/iOS, Intune for Windows), RF scanner management, FC/DC network infrastructure, and endpoint compliance at scale. Familiarity with WMS platforms (HighJump/Korber or equivalent) and production technology deployment.
• ITSM and Performance Management: Experience running or improving helpdesk operations using Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, or equivalent, with a track record of driving first-contact resolution and SLA improvement across distributed field teams.
• AI and Automation Mindset: Applied experience using AI tools to improve operational efficiency, personally and within a team. You use the tools and can lead others toward doing the same.

Newark, NJ Pay Range

$115,000—$160,000 USD
