Senior Software Engineer

About Hiya

Hiya Hub is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us expand our global carrier and partner network. You’ll build and maintain the services, APIs, and tools that support this growth, taking ownership of software from initial planning through to production.

This role combines hands-on development with operational ownership and collaboration across teams. If you enjoy solving problems, using AI tools, and seeing the impact of your work across a product’s lifecycle, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll work on:

• End-to-end software delivery: Break down complex projects, plan solutions, and implement, test, deploy, and monitor applications.
• Production reliability: Maintain services, respond to alerts, improve monitoring, and contribute to operational and on-call responsibilities.
• APIs and carrier integrations: Develop and maintain APIs that support new carrier products and broader distribution.
• Metrics and visibility: Build and improve KPIs, dashboards, and internal tools that help teams understand traffic patterns and system performance.
• Self-service and automation: Create tools, AI agents, and automations that help employees and external partners find answers and work more independently.
• Continuous improvement: Improve reliability, performance, documentation, and maintainability while helping the team make better use of industry-standard tooling.
• Cross-team problem-solving: Work with internal teams and external partners on phone application distribution, explain system behavior, assess the impact of issues, and clarify ownership between Hiya and its partners.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Experience developing software at a SaaS company or working on a SaaS product.
• Strong practical proficiency with AI tools.
• Familiarity with HTTP and networking fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Docker.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect technical details to business needs.
• A collaborative approach and an interest in understanding how services work together.
• A willingness to take responsibility for software throughout its lifecycle, including supporting it in production.

Experience with Kubernetes, Prometheus or similar monitoring and observability tools, or DevOps/SRE practices would be helpful, but isn’t required.

Over time, you’ll develop a broad understanding of Hiya Hub’s services and become someone others turn to for answers. Your work will help us support more carriers and partners, make our systems easier to operate, and give teams better tools to solve problems independently.
