The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong C#/.NET and Angular experience to build, integrate, and modernize software systems. This role requires hands-on experience with SQL Server, REST APIs, TypeScript, and Node.js, along with the ability to troubleshoot production issues and deliver reliable solutions in complex environments with limited documentation. The ideal candidate can do more than maintain existing code. They can build adapters, develop integration capabilities, and incrementally replace legacy functionality while minimizing disruption to existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using C#/.NET and Angular
  • Troubleshoot SQL Server queries, data access issues, and production performance problems
  • Build and integrate REST APIs and system-to-system integrations
  • Develop adapters and incremental replacement capabilities to modernize existing systems
  • Work across TypeScript and Node.js codebases to support integrations and application functionality
  • Implement automated tests to improve code quality, reliability, and maintainability
  • Investigate and resolve issues in production systems with incomplete or outdated documentation
  • Deliver incremental improvements while protecting existing functionality and minimizing operational risk
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand existing systems, identify technical risks, and implement practical solutions

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET application development
  • Strong experience developing applications with Angular
  • Solid experience troubleshooting SQL Server, including queries, data access, and performance issues
  • Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs
  • Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js
  • Experience implementing automated tests and maintaining reliable software
  • Ability to navigate, troubleshoot, and safely modify complex production systems with limited documentation
  • Experience building adapters, integrations, or replacement components that allow legacy functionality to be modernized incrementally
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in existing codebases

Nice to have:

  • Experience modernizing legacy applications or replacing legacy functionality incrementally
  • Experience with complex system integrations and data migration
  • Familiarity with strategies for reducing risk when deploying changes to established production systems
