About this role
As the Lead, Compliance Quality Assurance, you are the tactical backbone of our quality assessment framework. You will spearhead the day-to-day operations of our QA Assessor team, transforming quality assurance into a catalyst for operational excellence.
Through rigorous standard enforcement and precision-based calibration, you will ensure that Moniepoint’s critical divisions including KYC/Due Diligence, AML, LEA, Transaction Monitoring, and Fraud consistently meet SLAs and regulatory policy standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and manage QA Assessors, ensuring consistent grading and execution through regular file calibration exercises.
- Lead the secondary review process across the 'Six Pillars' (AML/Transaction Monitoring, Regulatory Control/LEA, and Forensic Fraud), identifying vulnerabilities in accuracy, speed, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain a centralized Compliance Defect Log and translate QA findings into actionable weekly feedback for operational Team Leads to drive continuous improvement.
- Perform deep-dive analyses on compliance misses to differentiate between system threshold errors and investigator oversight, recommending necessary process adjustments.
- Assist in coordinating internal and external audits by providing evidence of QA testing integrity and ensuring high-quality, audit-ready data.
Experience & Background
- 2–4 years of progressive experience in Compliance QA, Financial Crime Investigation, or EDD/CDD within a FinTech, or commercial bank.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Compliance tools and data analysis using SQL and Excel.
- Comprehensive understanding of Nigerian regulatory frameworks (AML/CFT), instant payment fraud, card/POS fraud typologies, and legal protocols for handling Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) and CDD, EDD and Customer screening.
- Professional certification such as DCP, CAMS, CFE, or ICA International Diploma is an added advantage.
What success looks like in this role
- Maintenance of flawless execution, high-velocity accuracy, and total regulatory integrity across all operational touchpoints.
- Consistent meeting of SLAs and regulatory policy standards across KYC/Due Diligence, AML, LEA, Transaction Monitoring, and Fraud divisions.
- Prevention of compliance drift through rigorous standard enforcement and precision-based calibration.
- Transformation of quality assurance processes into a true catalyst for operational excellence.
