About the job

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and operation of features that add direct customer value. Operational excellence, code quality, observability, and adhering to engineering best practices will be a central part of your day-to-day work, alongside actively contributing to team discussions and shared knowledge.

Quality, excellence, and agility drive our delivery processes and you will help us maintain these standards. Using NodeJS and TypeScript back-end stacks, appropriate for each requirement, but always hosted on AWS, we build added value and resilient services on top of voice and fully integrate with our customers’ business critical tools (CRM, Helpdesk, E-Commerce, …).

Your mission @ Aircall:

Create, design, develop, test, and monitor your code in production with autonomy and high reliability

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to offer pragmatic solutions to real-world problems and implement them end to end

Work with your team to build high-quality, secure, and maintainable services, participating actively in technical design and architectural discussions

Obtain a solid understanding of the business domain to provide impactful solutions to users and clients

Actively participate in peer code reviews, continuous team learning, and constructive technical feedback

Stay curious and up-to-date on modern software practices, tooling, and architectures, showing eagerness to adapt and apply them

A Little About You

You have 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software development, with solid hands-on experience using TypeScript & NodeJS (or other backend languages such as Python/Ruby/Rails), focusing on writing secure, maintainable, and performant code.

You have practical experience working with AWS in production environments and understand how to build, deploy, and monitor services in cloud architectures.

Experience working on frontend applications is a big plus, preferably with React.

You value code simplicity, clean testing practices, performance, and long-term maintainability.

You can turn requirements into clean technical designs and implement pragmatic solutions that solve problems effectively.

You possess effective and proactive communication skills, and enjoy collaborating across different roles and distributed engineering teams.
