About the role
About the company
Our client is a software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Carry product areas from a loosely defined objective through design, backend and frontend construction to release, with the frontend as the main focus. Coordinate with company leadership on broad product direction and refine releases quickly based on what a large group of users reports.
What you'll do
- Build and own user-facing products across a development platform, including an AI agent, a builder interface, a mobile web experience and developer SDK products.
- Drive broad product domains from ambiguous objectives to usable releases, refined by what end users report.
- Coordinate with company leadership on broad product direction and adjust rapidly once features are live.
- Design minimal, simple interfaces that make complex operational software easy to use.
- Carry features from first sketch through system layout, schema work and endpoint design, all the way to release, then keep refining them.
- Build core SaaS capabilities such as billing, analytics, experimentation, localization and notifications.
- Use frontier AI coding tools to multiply personal output while moving quickly as a small team.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Senior or staff-level engineer, typically with 2 to 10 years of professional experience.
- Strong full-stack engineer with a frontend focus, good design sense and product judgment.
- History of fully delivering a complete product component from start to finish rather than minor enhancements or fixes.
- Owns the backend for what they ship, including APIs, data modeling and Postgres.
- Portfolio of three to five things built and shipped independently, such as side projects, open-source work or live products.
- Uses AI-assisted programming tools as a regular part of the work and can explain how they fit into their process.
- Strong written and verbal communicator.
- At least one year at a fast-growing early-stage startup, or at a high-bar developer tools or product company, with own startup or accelerator experience counting.
Bonus points
- Experience publishing extended written material or presenting to technical audiences.
- Early-stage startup, founder or accelerator experience.
- Open-source or GitHub contributions.
- A public record of product launches.
