SAP Velocity Developer

This role supports that mission by strengthening the integration layer between SAP environments and downstream data and analytics platforms.

As an SAP Velocity Developer, you will play a key role in building and sustaining dependable SAP data integrations that support business reporting and operational decision-making. You will work closely with SAP, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to ensure critical data moves accurately, efficiently, and consistently into enterprise data platforms, while helping maintain the performance and reliability expected in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP data integration pipelines using Velocity.
• Configure and support data extraction from SAP ERP, SAP BW, and SAP Datasphere.
• Enable and monitor SAP data movement into Azure-based IDP and analytics platforms.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, data discrepancies, and performance issues across L1.5–L3 support tiers.
• Collaborate with SAP, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to ensure reliable data delivery.
• Optimize integration performance, scheduling, and throughput.
• Onboard new SAP data sources and integration requirements.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and operational controls for production integrations.
• Document integration architecture, interfaces, mappings, and operational procedures.
• Participate in deployment, release, and change management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• Hands-on experience with the Velocity integration platform.
• Experience integrating SAP data with Azure data platforms and supporting production data integration environments, including L1.5–L3 production support.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP, SAP BW, and SAP Datasphere data structures, along with ETL/ELT concepts and enterprise data integration patterns.
• Experience with SQL for data validation, troubleshooting, and analysis.
• Experience troubleshooting production data integration issues, performing root-cause analysis, and communicating effectively with technical and support teams during incidents.
• Experience with monitoring practices for production data integrations, as well as data quality and reconciliation practices.
• Experience with Theobald or similar SAP extraction tools.
• Experience collaborating with SAP, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to onboard SAP data sources, define integration requirements, and ensure reliable data delivery.
• Fluency in English.
