Lead / Principal BPM Developer - IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW)

As a Lead / Principal BPM Developer focused on IBM Business Automation Workflow, you will help turn complex process requirements into scalable technical solutions, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders and contributing to high-impact delivery across the full application lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business process applications using IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and workflow designs.
• Develop and configure business processes, process applications, and workflow components.
• Implement integrations between BAW applications and external systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues to ensure application stability and performance.
• Support application testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development team members.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of workflow solutions, development practices, and application performance.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 7–10 years of experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and/or relevant IBM BPM technologies, with strong hands-on experience developing and implementing workflow automation solutions.
• Experience with enterprise application integration, including integrating IBM BAW with REST and SOAP APIs, Java-based services, and IBM MQ and core banking platforms or other banking systems.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues in BPM or workflow applications.
• Knowledge of business process management concepts and workflow design.
• Experience delivering BPM solutions within banking and financial services.
• Ability to work on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with business analysts, solution architects, development teams, business users, product owners, and senior client stakeholders to translate requirements into technical workflow solutions.
• IBM BPM or IBM BAW certifications related to workflow development and solution implementation.
• Java certification relevant to custom development or system integrations.
