Work is 5 days onsite in Reston, VA.
The work you'll do:
- Build, configure, operate, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including environments in AWS GovCloud, using services such as EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, IAM, and AWS Organizations.
- Proactively pick up and manage support tickets, collaborating with teammates to troubleshoot infrastructure, access, and networking issues, implement solutions, and follow through to resolution.
- Communicate ticket status, technical issues, and resolutions clearly to teammates and stakeholders.
- Continue deepening AWS knowledge and technical skills, and contribute to improvements in team processes and documentation.
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience building, supporting, or troubleshooting cloud infrastructure; plus prior experience supporting infrastructure in AWS GovCloud.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, IAM (users, roles, policies), and AWS Organizations.
- Experience working in a ticket-driven support environment, with a willingness to proactively pick up, troubleshoot, and resolve tickets.
- Foundational understanding of cloud architecture principles and the AWS Well-Architected Framework, along with a conceptual understanding of cloud networking (e.g., VPCs and security groups).
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience supporting AWS environments across multiple classification domains.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or EKS.
- Experience with microservices or serverless architecture.
- Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- AWS cloud certification.
- Experience providing architecture guidance or supporting large-scale cloud-modernization initiatives.
