Open Application: Software Engineer / Builder

About the Role

This is an open application for builders and engineers at an early-stage semiconductor and embedded systems company. The team is looking for exceptional, self-directed people who can demonstrate their work and make an immediate impact in a fast-moving, technical environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and ship software or hardware systems end-to-end with a high degree of ownership.
• Collaborate closely with a small, technical team to solve hard problems in areas such as real-time systems, distributed computing, or embedded software.
• Contribute across the stack or the product as needed, without waiting for a well-defined brief.
• Bring concrete, demonstrable work: prototypes, tools, products, or experiments that show how you think and build.

What We're Looking For

• A strong track record of building things independently, whether through professional work, open-source contributions, or personal projects.
• Relevant experience in one or more of: embedded systems, real-time middleware, distributed messaging, AI/ML tooling, or low-level systems programming.
• Ability to communicate your work clearly, both in writing and in demonstrations.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action in an early-stage environment.
• Background in semiconductor, robotics, industrial tech, or adjacent domains is a strong plus.
• Unconventional or self-taught backgrounds are welcome; credentials matter far less than demonstrated ability.
