What does a Tech Lead do at PALO IT?

As a Tech Lead/Cloud Architect at PALO IT, you will:

  • Architect and Lead: Design and implement robust backend cloud solutions using Ruby & Ruby on Rails, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Team Leadership: Lead engineering teams by fostering a collaborative environment, mentoring team members, and facilitating communication with stakeholders.
  • Integration Management: Oversee the integration of various APIs, including WhatsApp Cloud API and Conversions API, ensuring best practices and smooth workflows.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Manage cloud architecture on Google Cloud, leveraging Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration, and implementing best practices for security and networks.
  • Business Solutions: Drive enterprise solutions focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization strategies.

What experience do you need for this role?

You're a strong fit for this Senior Technical Leader role if you have:

Must-have:

  • At least 7 years of experience in backend development with advanced proficiency in Ruby & Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, Redis (caching, queues, in-memory storage), and Sidekiq (asynchronous processing).
  • Proven experience designing REST APIs with documentation and best practices.
  • Knowledge in cloud architecture (Google Cloud) and experience with Kubernetes (GKE) for deployment, orchestration, scaling, and optimization.
  • Familiarity with Vertex AI, Gemini API, and agentic frameworks in AI (RAG, observability, evaluation, logs).
  • Experience in CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise solutions, including high availability, disaster recovery, and observability.

Nice-to-have:

  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
  • English language proficiency at a B2 level.
