Quento Technologies S.A. seeks a highly motivated and experienced a Data Engineer tobe responsible for the implementation of data ingestion pipelines, preprocessing activities, SQL transformations, reconciliation controls, and associated data processing components.

Your responsibilities will entail:

• Develop and configure source ingestion and preprocessing pipelines;
• Implement SQL-based transformations and reconciliation rules;
• Build reusable data processing components and supporting Python scripts;
• Implement reconciliation results persistence and data validation logic;
• Optimize database queries and pipeline execution;
• Support integration testing, defect investigation, and reconciliation accuracy validation;
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• 4+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT Development, or Database Development.
• At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in comparable enterprise data integration, data processing, or reconciliation projects;
• Advanced SQL development, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and performance optimization;
• Python development for file handling, data validation, transformation, and automation;
• Hands-on experience in relational data modeling and database schema implementation, including staging tables, transformation models, reference data mappings, and reconciliation result structures;
• Design and implementation of ETL/ELT pipelines;
• Processing of structured and semi-structured files, including CSV, delimited, fixed-width, and compressed formats;
• Development of source-to-target mappings, data standardization, and transformation logic;
• Implementation of reconciliation rules, matching algorithms, discrepancy identification, and results persistence;
• Incremental loading, error handling, restartability, and idempotent data processing;
• Git-based development practices and automated testing.

Relevant Technologies / Experience

• PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Python, dbt Core, Apache Airflow, Meltano/Singer, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Apache NiFi, or equivalent ETL/ELT and database technologies.
