We are looking for a skilled and motivated Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in the banking domain and a solid understanding of financial services applications, business workflows, and technology requirements.

This role involves building reliable backend services, developing RESTful APIs, integrating enterprise systems, and contributing to high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable applications that meet business and technical requirements.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and maintain scalable, modular, and resilient microservices.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate services with internal and external systems.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into efficient technical solutions.
  • Apply banking domain knowledge to develop and enhance financial services applications.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on application design and technical implementation.
  • Write clean, reusable, testable, and maintainable code following established coding standards.
  • Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
  • Optimise application performance, scalability, and resource utilisation.
  • Work with databases to develop efficient data access and processing solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Support application integration, deployment, production releases, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, product, and business teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Java and object-oriented programming.
  • Proven experience developing enterprise applications using Spring Boot.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, service communication, and distributed application design.
  • Mandatory experience in the banking domain, with an understanding of banking applications, workflows, or financial services processes.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and system integrations.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data-processing concepts.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, design patterns, and clean coding principles.
  • Experience with Git, debugging, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
