About the role

About the Role

Join an early-stage AI customer success software team as a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer. You will work directly with enterprise customers to take AI agents from problem scoping through production deployment, while bringing field learnings back into the product.

What You'll Do

  • Work with customers to understand onboarding, adoption, and renewal processes and identify where AI agents can help.
  • Configure and deploy agents with customer data sources and systems, including data warehouses, CRMs, SSO, and other integrations.
  • Build evaluations using real customer data and improve agent performance until it meets deployment requirements.
  • Partner with go-to-market teams to support account closing, activation, and expansion.
  • Turn customer feedback into product improvements, including making platform changes when needed.
  • Debug production deployments, investigate root causes, and deliver focused solutions that demonstrate value.

What We're Looking For

  • Three to seven years of experience in customer-facing software engineering, forward deployed engineering, or solutions engineering.
  • Experience owning technical customer deployments and building and deploying LLM agents, including prompts, evaluations, and complex long-running agents.
  • Strong Python and FastAPI backend skills, plus React frontend experience.
  • Background in an early-stage or high-growth startup, with customer-facing deployment experience.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and a record of progression in your career.
  • Experience with AI agents, LLMs, and customer data integrations is valuable.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Hybrid in San Francisco, California, United States.
