FBS Agile Dev Team Member I - QA Guidewire

Job Summary

This position collaborates with product owners, business analysts, developers and Agile teams to validate Guidewire solutions supporting Business Insurance transformation initiatives. The role performs functional, integration, API, regression, and automates testing activities to ensure Guidewire applications meet business requirements, quality standards, and release objectives. The position contributes to test case creation, test execution, defect management, and quality improvements while delivering sprint commitments within an Agile environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Creates, maintains, and executes test cases, test scenarios, and test data for Guidewire PolicyCenter, JDP and integrations.
• Validates functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end business processes across Guidewire applications.
• Identifies, documents, retests, and tracks defects through resolution.
• Reviews user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure testability and quality coverage.
• Participates in sprint testing activities and supports release validation efforts.
• Performs API and interface testing using approved testing tools.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts review defects and validate fixes.
• Supports environment validation, test data preparation, and deployment verification activities.

Special Skill Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of QA experience in Agile software delivery environments.
• Experience testing Guidewire applications, preferably PolicyCenter.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty or Business Insurance processes.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience with API testing and integration validation.
• Additional Qualifications
• Broad knowledge of insurance concepts, terminology, products, and business processes across relevant business areas.
• Strong verbal, written, and listening skills, with the ability to adapt technical messages for business and technical audiences.
• Excellent collaboration and team-building skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across teams.
• Strong ownership and accountability for individual and team deliverables, including timely identification and correction of gaps.

• Education and Certification Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Guidewire certification or testing certification preferred.
