We are looking for a skilled Power BI Business Analyst with strong expertise in business intelligence, dashboard development, data modelling, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Power BI, DAX, and SQL, with working knowledge of Python and Power Apps.

The role involves transforming complex datasets into meaningful business insights, developing interactive dashboards, analysing commercial performance, and collaborating with stakeholders to support strategic and operational decisions. Experience in the FMCG or retail industry, particularly with commercial KPIs and syndicated data, will be an added advantage.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Dashboard Development and Business Intelligence

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor business performance.
  • Translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions and actionable insights.
  • Create visualisations that enable stakeholders to track key performance indicators and identify business trends.
  • Ensure dashboards are accurate, reliable, user-friendly, and aligned with business objectives.

2. Data Modelling and DAX

  • Develop and maintain efficient data models to support reporting and analytical requirements.
  • Write and optimise DAX measures, calculated columns, and expressions for complex business calculations.
  • Implement appropriate data relationships, hierarchies, and aggregation logic.
  • Improve dashboard performance and ensure consistency across reporting outputs.

3. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Use SQL to extract, transform, validate, and analyse data from relational databases.
  • Analyse business datasets to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply analytical techniques to support commercial planning, performance monitoring, and decision-making.
  • Work with Python where required to support data analysis, automation, and data preparation.

4. Stakeholder Management and Business Collaboration

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, define KPIs, and gather analytical requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reports and dashboards that address business priorities.
  • Present findings clearly and translate analytical results into practical business recommendations.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely delivery of reporting solutions.

5. Business Applications and Process Improvement

  • Leverage Power Apps to support business workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and streamline data-driven operations.
  • Maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, calculations, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across business intelligence solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience in Power BI dashboard and report development.
  • Expertise in DAX, data modelling, and Power BI performance optimisation.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Working knowledge of Power Apps and its application in business processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into meaningful dashboards, KPIs, and actionable insights.
