We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java development to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, and enterprise application development. You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance software applications while contributing to architectural decisions and technical improvements.

The candidate should be passionate about writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, solving complex technical challenges, and building reliable software solutions. You will work closely with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality products aligned with business requirements.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications using Java.
  • Build robust, secure, and high-performance backend systems and applications.
  • Apply strong knowledge of Core Java, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate applications with internal and external systems.
  • Write clean, reusable, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
  • Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and production defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Contribute to system architecture, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Mentor junior developers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives within the engineering team.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java development.
  • Excellent understanding of Core Java, OOP concepts, Collections Framework, Multithreading, and Exception Handling.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns.
  • Experience in developing enterprise-grade applications and backend services.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs, web services, and application integration.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, version control systems, and code quality practices.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with SQL, database optimization, and query performance tuning.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5–12 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong hands-on experience building applications using Java.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Proven ability to independently handle complex development tasks and deliver quality software solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.

Ideal Candidate: A technically strong Java developer who can take ownership of end-to-end development, solve complex engineering problems, contribute to system design, and help build scalable and reliable software applications.
